    There are many different aspects of health, which make up a complete picture of your quality of life. The term “clinical depression” actually just refers to a handful of psychological states. The mental health of a person greatly affects his or her ability to live a fulfilling life. Depression, in general, can be divided into two main categories: clinical depression and bipolar disorder. However, there are also other types of health conditions which affect a person’s mental health.

    Types of Health – Mental Wellness

    There are five key areas of mental wellness: emotional, mental, physical, social, and intellectual. None of these aspects can be ignored, as they all play an important role in defining health. Therefore, in order for a person to be thought of as “healthy,” all of these facets must be functioning properly. If any of the above elements are suffering from some kind of deficiency, it can lead to poor wellness and decrease the quality of life.

    The physical dimension of your health can be determined by looking at your body. You should check for bruises, signs of illness, cuts, or other visible wounds. Pay attention to your overall health too. If you are not healthy physically, then you are not going to enjoy your social environment or feel confident about going about your day-to-day activities. A poor physical dimension of health can lead to serious health complications, such as cancer or cardiovascular disease.

    Stress-free Wellbeing

    Emotionally, people fall into one of four general areas: stress-free, anxious, unhappy, or depressed. Stress-free wellbeing is defined by having few if any worries on occasion. Anxiety encompasses a wide variety of feelings ranging from being tense to fearful. People who are emotionally stressed tend to procrastinate and get little done in a timely manner. They are unable to relax, making them less able to take care of themselves and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Depression, as the name suggests, refers to being hopeless and self-critical.

    The fourth dimension, mental health, is the result of a person’s wellness. It is the result of their overall outlook on life. These include their beliefs and expectations about themselves and others. It may encompass their views on relationships and work. The mental health of individuals varies widely. Some individuals are more optimistic and open to change than others.

    Lastly, the last major dimension of good health is self-esteem. It is the basis of your sense of yourself and your abilities. When you have high self-esteem, you are more likely to try new things, take risks, be creative, and have positive emotions. Self-esteem has a great impact on your overall health and well-being, including your ability to prevent illnesses and treat them when you have them.

    Your complete physical health can be influenced by all of these dimensions of good health. However, it does not mean that you are entirely safe unless you have all of these components. Your complete physical health is influenced by your mental, emotional, and social wellbeing. If any of the three is suffering, then you are at risk for having health problems that can affect your quality of life. For example, if you have low self-esteem, you will be less willing to go to the gym and will also be more likely to engage in risky behavior.

    All of the dimensions of good health can help you to lead a happy and fulfilling life. You should consider each of the three health dimensions when you start to formulate a plan for improving your health. You can also talk with your doctor about your current health condition or health history. He or she may be able to provide advice about how you can improve your self-image and your general wellbeing. When you start defining health, you will be able to find a healthier outlook on life and better health for yourself and those around you.
