With the summer season upon us, we now find ourselves looking for more workouts for abs that are simple and easy to follow. The search is still on, but why not skip the gym altogether? At the end of a long day, what do you get but a sore tired body and aching soul? If you are tired of hitting the gym for workouts that offer no real results other than some ripped abs you would rather take the couch and watch TV for a couple of hours.
Even if you’re hitting the gym for workouts that include weights and impact, it doesn’t mean that you have to lift heavy weights or do impact exercises. It also doesn’t mean that you should make sure to perform proper form all the time. In fact, even if you’re hitting the gym for workouts that involve a lot of free weights, it doesn’t mean that you have to follow a strict set of dumbbell presses and squats. Easy workouts are still possible even with a treadmill and some free weights, and they can help you burn fat faster than any fad diet could.
One of my favorite workouts for abs is the plank exercise
This is done by laying flat on your back on the floor, holding a smallish weight on each hand. You will use these weights for resistance, instead of doing reps with actual weights. This exercise targets your entire midsection, which is great for toning muscles in that area.
You can add more variations to this exercise by raising and lowering the weights. You can also do your plank workouts for abs while lying on your side.
Make sure that you don’t hold the position for too long; you don’t want to do more than 10 seconds, otherwise, you’ll end up hurting yourself. You may also want to increase the length of your plank workouts to longer than ten seconds, as well.
Workouts for abs
A couple of other workouts for abs that are great for fitness enthusiasts are crunches and lunges. These workouts target different muscles in your body. They are both great workouts for abs because they require a lot of resistance.
Crunches are done by getting into a pushup position. Next, you should hold on to either a book or a wall, then bend at the waist and place the heel of your hand on the ground between your legs.
Now, as you arch your back and contract your oblique muscles, you should crunch up until your chest is touching the bench.
Abs Exercises with Bodyweight
Another great exercise that you can do to increase the strength and endurance of your abs is bodyweight exercises. You can do these in the comfort of your own home using nothing but your body weight.
Bodyweight exercises are very effective at building strength, especially when you focus on your core. There are many workouts for abs that incorporate bodyweight exercises, so make sure that you include some form of bodyweight training in your routine. Bodyweight workouts are perfect for beginners because they are easy to start with.
Aerobic Exercise into the Workout Routine
There are also many workouts for abs that incorporating aerobic exercise into the workout routine. The anaerobic workout combines cardio workouts with various forms of aerobic activity such as running, walking, biking, swimming, or playing aerobic games like aerobics.
This type of exercise is ideal for those who want to achieve maximum results from their workouts. It is also a good idea to include an elliptical trainer with your workouts for best results.
To get started, you will need to learn how to sit properly to perform these exercises. Begin by lying faceup with your knees bent and your back straight.
For each repetition, you should do the following: stand on your toes, bend your knees to be even with your feet, and then extend your arms behind your head.
